I Saw A Raven

I saw a raven fly across the sky
And I had to wonder why life can be unkind

Motions swirling in and out of my mind
When will this whirlwind unwind?
The way you draw so close to me
Then drift away so silently

Your eyes deceived me
With their charm for awhile
Until I realized you were never genuine

What is this?
Only the memories of a dream
That could never manifest
And through the darkness and the pain
I ask you, "What remains?"
