Even though a raw food diet is generally water rich compared to other diets, it is still important to drink plain water often. There is no substitute for water. We are mostly water so it is important to honor it by drinking it. Your kidneys will love you if you do and you will love not getting kidney stones.
Are you gaining weight on a raw food diet? If so, cut back on the dense fatty foods and drink more water. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables that have a high water content: like watermelons, jelly coconuts, tangerines and oranges, grapefruits, peaches, nectarines, etc.
Simply put, our bodies love water, so if we love our bodies we will drink water consistently – even if we are on a raw food diet!
